Activities Internationally
New Zealand Aotearoa
Well, we couldn't start our international tour anywhere closer or better than New Zealand. Our colleagues on the 'shaky isles' have grabbed Transition and run with it like nowhere else I am aware of on the planet. Their growth of local transition initiatives has been nothing short of spectacular and now there are dozens of initiatives across the north and south islands and a few smaller islands as well.
A lot of this phenomenal momentum is due to James Samuel, who got the transition bug and has devoted himself to it totally for the last 18 months or so. James and his web wizard Rimu Atkinson have built a virtual community and quickly grown it into a 'hub' for a large and vibrant community of real people doing real things at the local level.

United States
The Transition Network joined forces with the vibrant Relocalisation Network in USA in 2008 and they are forging ahead under the Transition banner. Lots of action starting to happen. Click here to visit their national hub site.
The rest of the world
As for the rest of the world, the Transition virus is spreading so rapidly it is impossible to keep up with the listings. Thankfully the Transition Network in UK is doing that job admirably, so go here to see the growing list - transitiontowns.org/TransitionNetwork/TransitionCommunities
