A two-hour intensive introduction to the Transition Towns idea, its drivers, its history, its current viral spread around the world and how it is being implemented in local initiatives and regional and national hubs.

This workshop is for anyone curious about the phenomenon of Transition initiatives and wondering how they might be able to get involved in or start  one in their own locality. As well as hearing from Transition Sydney speakers, participants will have the opportunity to participate in discussion about the key issues that Transition Initiatives address and how they impact local communities, at the same time experiencing one of the key processes for engaging communities in thinking and talking about the future threats that will challenge the resilience of local communities.

Participants will also learn about the Transition Sydney role as a regional Hub  and its support system for local initiatives.

Attendance is by $5 donation to cover the costs of venue, workshop materials and coffee/tea.
